Lettuce, Romaine, and other leafy greens are sometimes hard to come by these days. But when you are lucky enough to get some at your weekly pick up, its as good as gold. Leafy greens are great at adding that needed crunch to a sandwich. But how do you prolong the shelf life? 

Standard Shelf life? Leafy greens can last for up to 3 weeks if stored properly. 

Which types of lettuce store the longest?

  3. Iceberg

How to store? Keep your lettuce whole and unwashed until ready to serve. Store in the crisper drawer of the refrigerator, wrap in a paper towel.
